  • Sarah Adler - Michigan Host

Hi I'm Sarah and I grew up in southeast Michigan just minutes from Lake St Clair. I've been ice fishing since I met my husband in 2015 and I've never looked back. I enjoy meeting new people while ice fishing, traveling to new lakes, and seeing new states. My favorite species to target ice fishing are walleye and lake trout. My best ice fishing memory would have to be my first LMM event in Wisconsin in 2020. I met so many great ladies and it's the event that catapulted my friendship with my now best friend! I'm lucky enough to have multiple gals in my life who enjoy the outdoors as much as I do and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to provide that experience for other women!

  • Kaylee Russell - Michigan Co-host

I live in mid-Michigan. I’ve been fishing ever since I could remember! I love ice fishing because of the one on one fight with the fish. My favorite species to target would be either crappie or walleye through the ice. A favorite memory of fishing would have to be catching a limit of panfish with my friends/family and having a fresh catch and cook meal afterwards with them! Nothing better than a fish fry!

  • Sarah Kozlowski - Wisconsin Host

Sarah Kozlowski is from Hayward, Wisconsin and was raised by a family who was very passionate about the outdoors. She grew up fishing on the lake her family lived on, specifically with her mother Geri, who unfortunately passed away in 2017. Geri taught Sarah much of what she knows and started her angling and outdoor skill bank, including the importance of conservation, how to be a provider, and how to share outdoors with others. Her best fishing memory was catching her PB crappie of 16.5" with her mom's assistance after it fell of the hook at the top of the hole. Sarah's goal with LMM is to provide the same mission to any and all attendees of Ladies Midwest Meetup trips. She loves to fish for smallmouth bass in the summer time and target walleyes through the ice on tip-ups in the winter.

  • Taylor Cunningham - Wisconsin Co-host

My name is Taylor Cunningham and I live in Northwest Wisconsin. I’ve been fishing on and off my whole life, but really got back into fishing about 4 years ago and haven’t looked back since! My favorite ice fishing species to target is probably crappies or bluegill. All of my favorite fishing memories usually come from these meet-ups - being able to see someone catch their first fish, catch a new species, or hit a PB. I love sharing the passion of fishing with other women and passing along any knowledge I learn along the way!

  • Amy Hansen - Iowa Host/WI Event Committee

Hello! My name is Amy Hansen. I live with my husband, Troy on a little farm in Iowa. One of the things I love about Ice fishing is that it can be such a multi-species experience. I love targeting catfish and other trophy size fish, but love that I can have the simple joys of catching panfish while I'm out there too.

  • Kim VanLanen - Wisconsin Event Committee

I grew up ice fishing with my family when I was really young and it has now become one of my favorite things to do. I look forward to the winter and colder weather so I can get out on the ice. Ice fishing can definitely be a challenge when the fish aren’t biting or when trying to find where the fish are, but that is all part of what makes it fun. My favorite species to target while ice fishing is walleye. I tip up fish for them primarily, but also love catching them while jigging too. I think that ice fishing is a great activity for anglers of all skill levels and I love the sense of community that it can bring.

  • Sami Jo Halbrook - Wisconsin Event Committee

Hey there! I’m Sami Jo! I live in Green Bay with my husband! I grew up ice fishing with my dad and it quickly became a time to relax and have fun at the same time! I caught my biggest pike through the ice when I was about 8 and 20 years later, still haven’t beat that PB! 😂 I work as a nurse now and fishing, ice fishing and hunting have been an outlet of stress relief for me! Over the last few years, I started attending all ladies events to meet more ladies with the same interests as me! I attended a LMM event last year and helped a few ladies catch their first fish through the ice and it was the highlight of my ice season!! This year I can not wait to help some more ladies get into the sport that I love!

  • Kelsey Bell - Wisconsin Event Committee

Hi, I'm Kelsey! I am originally from Manitoba, Canada but will be moving to Wisconsin in the near future. Right now, I travel back and forth often, so I am very lucky to get to fish in both places! I've only been ice fishing for around 4 years, but it really didn't take long for me to become obsessed with it! I love that it forces me to get outside in the cold, winter months and I've noticed a huge mental health improvement since I started hitting the ice! My favorite fish to target are the Greenback Walleye on Lake Winnipeg and Crappies when I'm in Wisconsin. I am super pumped to be joining LMM and helping out, and I can't wait to meet everyone!

  • Sarah Schowalter - Wisconsin Event Committee

Hey ladies! I'm Sarah: an ice fishing fanatic and all-around lover of the great outdoors. There's something so special about the ice fishing scene that gets me hooked every time. I love everything from setting up a cozy camp, to running obnoxiously to a spinning tip up.

I believe these events are not just about catching fish. Instead, I truly enjoy meeting like-minded women, swapping stories and knowledge, and creating lifelong friendships in some of the midwest's finest locations. We are all here to cheer each other on. I can't wait to create some memories with you!

  • Dori Sell - Wisconsin Event Committee

Hey there! I'm Dori, a passionate outdoors enthusiast from Omro, WI, living right by the Fox River. Fishing has been in my life as long as I have been able to walk. I didn't get into ice fishing though until my husband and I moved back home in 2020.

When I'm not wetting lines, you'll find me hunting, gardening, canning, tending to my bees, or hanging out with my dogs. Trust me when I say you, will make friendships that will last a lifetime by attending an LMM meet-up. I had the opportunity to attend the one in LOTW last winter and it was one of my 2023 highlights! Cheers!

  • Charlie - LMM Mascot

Hi! I’m Charlie and I love all things ice fishing: watching people catch fish, licking the fish, running with people to tip-ups, pooping on the lake, finding sticks to chew, eating dead minnows, long naps in the ice hub, and making new friends.
